Tóm tắt

This paper describes a lab-based course in computer security targeted at non-majors and introductory-level students at a liberal arts college. The course material exposes students to actual malware and hacking attacks through experiments in an isolated computer lab. Through these experiments, students not only gain technical knowledge about computer security, but are also introduced to many of the topics from an introductory information technology course. The course culminates in students designing and performing their own experiments in security. Copyright 2006 ACM.
