Providing a reliable tool to locate specific journal articles available from aggregated databases has been a challenge to public service staff in libraries across the country. As more aggregated services and online subscriptions become available, managing access to these tools is a continual problem, as reflected in current online discussions and library literature. This article will focus on one small liberal arts college's attempt to create a searchable data base for patrons and staff to access full-text articles by journal title. Utilizing this tool has improved the ability of patrons to locate full-text articles in a timely fashion, and has created new workflow patterns for staff processing interlibrary loan requests and electronic reserves. © 2001 by The Haworth Press, Inc.
