Marist College is a 120-acre campus located midway between New York City and Albany. Marist is a four year private liberal arts college offering many degree programs and several graduate programs. Marist has approximately 3500 fulltime undergraduate students. In the early part of 1983 Marist was awarded a $4.5 million grant from the IBM Corporation. In 1985 Marist was given the opportunity to sponsor an affiliate program for the purpose of selling IBM Personal Computers. With the ever increasing use of Personal Computers both in the market place and for personal user, Marist decided to accept the contract. I would like to share the events that have occurred in trying to get this program under way. © 1986 Association for Computing Machinery. All rights reserved.
