Carroll C. Arnold, Professor Emeritus at the Pennsylvania State University, is clearly one of the “great teachers in the speech communication classroom.” He possesses a rare combination of intelligence, skill, dedication, and compassion—the qualities we admire most in a scholar, teacher, professional, and human being. Perhaps best known for co-authoring the popular textbook, Public Speaking As a Liberal Art, Professor Arnold embraces this liberal arts philosophy in his teaching, trying to help all students become their personal best.
