Courses and seminars on church and state have become widespread among colleges and universities, both within the liberal arts programs as well as in the curricula of law and divinity schools throughout the nation. Church-state studies, such as at Baylor and Villanova, have fostered not only course studies, but also the holding of institutes on church and state-including conferences dealing specifically with church, state, and education-and the sponsoring of research and publications addressed to church-state relations. © 1968, Oxford University Press.
