An argument for the institution of an active microform program at the level of the small liberal arts college library In addition to the appointment of a microform manager, an eight-point program is presented to effect this plan: creation of a pleasant microform reading room environment; maintenance of records for hardware and software; a handbook of microform use; a “star” ’ in the collection; bibliographic control of software and housing of pertinent bibliographic apparatus in the microform room; library instruction in the use of microforms; cooperative programs concerning microforms at the local level; continuing self-study. © 1974, Walter de Gruyter.
